Jennifer Hays, USC students now  and Rebecca Benest, graduated completed her studies at UCSD

 

      We are currently accepting applications for Fall and Winter 

Our interns assist with all aspects of day-to-day operation of the RT. Duties include performing research assignments in support of upcoming speakers and issues, helping with outreach to media contacts, contributing to press and student information packets, maintaining media contact databases, and editing transcripts of recorded speeches for our publications. At events, interns may assist in working with communications technology and working with media attendees. Ideal for those interested in international business, foreign affairs,  journalism, multimedia, public relations, and communications.

Work on projects and assignments related to Presidential members – the RT’s  highest level of membership. Must have exceptional interpersonal skills. This intern will assist in managing relationships with President’s Level and Board members and may also assist in creating proposals for financial assistance from corporations. At events, this intern may aid in the VIP Reception as well as liasoning with upper-level members.

The position requires program development  abilities as well as administrative competencies  including sending and keeping track of invitation letters to potential speakers, transcribing recorded speeches, and preparing photo albums and folios for members of our Presidential Circle and Board of Directors. At events, interns will assist in running the VIP reception and facilitating photo opportunities for our members. Ideal for those interested in international business, diplomacy, international relations, marketing, media, management careers.

Interns help maintain the Ambassadorial Roundtable’s membership records with new memberships and renewals. At events, interns assist at the ticket table, answer guest questions and seat attendees. Interns develop important business skills in professional interaction. Interns are also involved in the creation of presentations to local college groups about the RT, its mission, and its activities. Ideal for those interested in non-profit management and the hospitality industry.

Interns will be responsible for photographing, filming, editing (to an under 5 minute video to highlight the program) and uploading photos and footage to a specified media site. Intern is expected to also coordinate and film interviews with speakers and attendees be used as a marketing tool for the RT and the Young  Diplomats Program.

Interns regularly sit-in on our events with ambassadors, diplomats and high level business leaders visiting  dignitaries, during which time they have the opportunity to speak candidly with the individual being interviewed. Interns have the opportunity to attend special events ,  use  creativity , audit various lecture, attend  board meetings, learn about  organizational structures,  interact  with  membership .
